best Critical Mass of the year only getting better with party after and noisemarker workshop day before!

If there is one Critical Mass event to make this year, the July event would be it! Not only is the July event the best-attended Critical Mass of the year historically, there are also two events combined with it this month.

The day before, you can make your own bicycle-mounted noisemaker with TRUCK artist-in-residence Jessica Thompson at the Bike Hack workshop & sound ride event. This event is part of the MST Ride On! bike arts festival running throughout July! For more info, go to:

Trevor Howell reports on the Thursday event with video for FFWD:

MST's Ride On! bike arts festival plans to use the Critical Mass event to wrap up their festival so expect quite an event.

The Good Life Community Bicycle Shop is also celebrating their 1st anniversary after the ride!

For the uninitiated, Critical Mass is a monthly mobile rally in support of cyclist road rights. Cyclists take to the street en mass to show support for their right to the road. David Wilson reported on the June Critical Mass for his new online magazine called Calgary Cowbell.

August Green Drinks event announced!

Green Drinks is a monthly meetup of those interested in the environment to get together to network or socialize.  There is no admission fee or member fee nor are there any presenters - just people coming together to learn from one another about the environment.  And, this seems to be the great appeal behind the event as we often have over 50 people attending every month.

See the latest blog post at http://greendrinkscalgary.ca for more info on Green Drinks or to RSVP or to see our latest newsletter, which includes a mention of other events coming up similar to ours.

come and meet the Pedal for the Planet cyclists and other eco-celebrities at the next Green Drinks event!

Green Drinks is a monthly meetup of those interested in the environment. There is no admission fee or member fee nor are there any presenters - just people learning from others about the environment. The next Green Drinks event will be held July 21st (see below for links).

The event runs for 3 hours but many people will often be there for much longer just enjoying the company and conversation. You can come and go as you please as there is little to the agenda except for networking and socializing with others.

We already have 30+ people confirmed to attend and more are expected. We also have the Pedal for the Planet cyclists confirmed to attend before their 7PM event at the Arusha Centre (just a block away). We also have confirmed many local eco-celebrities such as:
